Frequently Asked Questions

What are the shop hours?

We are open Wednesday - Sunday 11am to 7pm.

Do you do piercings?

No, sorry we only offer tattoos, microblading, freckles and lash lifts currently.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, we take walk-ins every Wed-Sun. These are first come first served. To find out who is on walk-ins on a given day you can check our stories or call the shop. You may also use our online booking system to book a walk-in on the day/time of your choice. These walk-in slots are available from 5 days prior until 11am the day of. Walk-in tattoos are considered small simple tattoos that don't take a long time to draw or execute. Some of our artists pre-drawn designs can also be done as a walk-in. If you are unsure if what you want is able to be done as a walk-in you may contact us to find out.

Are your tattoos vegan?

A lot of our base equipment is vegan. However, for our vegan and animal conscious friends we have a full vegan set up available. Just be sure to let us know in advance.

Can I book an appointment over the phone?

No but if you want a small tattoo you can use our online booking system to book a walk-in on the day/time of your choice. These walk-in slots are available from 5 days prior until 11am the day of. If you want a bigger tattoo you'll need to book this in after a consultation with the artist you are going to be working with. See below question for more details.

How can I get a price estimate?

If you want a small tattoo you can contact the shop via our contact form, instagram DM or WhatsApp and we can provide you a price range estimate. This will be a ballpark estimate and the artist doing the tattoo can provide a more accurate quote within this. You must provide a description, references, size and placement details in order to receive a quote. Please note that if you provide incorrect information our estimation will be incorrect. Also if you change your mind about what you want this will invalidate the estimate.

If you want a larger tattoo this pricing will be handled directly by the tattooer you are booking in with. You may contact that artist directly or contact us and we can put you in touch with the artist. If you want a recommendation contact us and send us your references and we can make a recommendation.

Someone else offered to do my tattoo at a lower price, can you match that price?

Absolutely not. We will not haggle so please do not attempt. A tattoo is serious and is on your body for the rest of your life. You should never try to get the lowest price on a tattoo as you get what you pay for in this industry. There are a lot of untrained 'artists' out there doing poor tattoos. We are trained professionals and good tattoos from professionals come at a cost. That said, we completely understand everyone has a budget and we encourage you to express your budget upfront and we will do our best to work with that. We never want to say no to anyone but we believe that people need to be understanding of our time and the hard work we put into honing our craft.

What do I bring to a consultation?

Firstly, you should make sure the area you want tattooed is able to be shown to the artist. You should bring or have ready plenty of image references to convey your idea. If you will be booking an appointment be prepared to leave a £100 deposit. We take cards and cash.

Is my deposit refundable?

No. All deposits are non-refundable. The deposit holds your appointment time and comes off of the total price of your tattoo. It also goes towards any research and drawing for your tattoo. If you absolutely need to reschedule your appointment we require 48 hours notice to move you to a new date. We can reschedule your appointment one time only. After that, you forfeit your deposit and will need to send a new one to make another appointment. This may seem harsh but getting a tattoo is a time-consuming process (especially for a larger tattoo). We simply want to make sure you are committed before we spend time on research and drawing for your tattoo.

What is the wait time for an appointment?

Each artist has a different wait time for appointments. All of our artists have specific days they do walk-ins (for smaller pieces). If you would like to know a certain artists availability please call the shop or email us.

Do you offer cover-ups or re-works?

Yes, but not every tattoo can be covered/re-worked. You will need to have a consultation with an artist to discuss your options. You should be flexible and willing to consider laser removal as coverups are always a compromise.

Do you offer laser tattoo removal?

We don't offer this in house but we are partners with NAAMA Studios who provide laser removal services. If you mention code THREEKINGSTATTOO50 you'll get £50 off your first session.

Can I get a tattoo if I am underage and have my parents permission?

No. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to get a tattoo in the UK. Even with your parents permission.

Can I see my tattoo design before my appointment?

It is common practice in the industry to not show clients designs until the day of the appointment and this is what you can expect with us. There are many reasons for this but mainly it is to protect the integrity of our work and prevent stealing. This is rarely an issue as with references and discussion the artist will understand what you're looking for. Small changes to the design can happen on the day.

If this is a problem for you, you may want to consider getting a pre-drawn design. All of our artists have lots of pre-drawn designs available. In order to see these you will need to come into the shop as we do not send these via email. You can also sign up to our mailing list to get access to pre-drawn designs before anyone else.

Do you do microblading?

Yes, Sophie Depree is our cosmetic artist. She does microblading, freckles and lash lifts at the studio. To find out more about these treatments visit our Cosmetic Treatments page
